(IPC Jakarta) Total import of pepper into the US during January – December 2009, has increased by 2%, compared to the same period of 2008. In 2009, the United States imported a total of 65,855 tons of pepper, consisting of 49,148 tons of whole black, 6,289 tons of whole white and 10,418tons of ground pepper.
